Gather. Reflect. Celebrate.
Kwanzaa Guide & Workbook
Celebrating Our Holiday & Our History
This book is a guide and workbook designed to bring families/communities together to celebrate Kwanzaa and the history of Black people. As we celebrate the holiday, we celebrate our rich history and build on the legacy and efforts of those who have come before us. Each day, a different principle (the Nguzo Saba) is highlighted. Aligned with each dayโs principle, you will find:
a definition,
a reflection/quote,
a historical example of the principle in practice,
a suggested fun activity, and
a writing prompt.
This book also includes word finds, coping strategies, an original Kwanzaa song, and resources that help promote the principles. It will be most beneficial if used in community (within your family, group of friends, school, or local community group), but can also be used by individuals. Have fun with it.
A celebration of who we areโand who we're becoming.
